I’m a ceramic artist, oil painter, and maker inspired by the quiet beauty of the landscapes where I grew up in rural England and Scotland. For the past 20 years, I’ve made my home in Willoughby, Ohio, where I live with my husband, our dog, and three cats. My work blends ancient craft traditions with contemporary sensibilities, creating objects and paintings that carry a sense of stillness, presence, and soul.

Art is the quiet voice at the heart of life.

I am a ceramic artist, oil painter, and maker with a deep appreciation for quiet beauty, timeless form, and the small details that make life feel grounded. My work spans clay, oil, and other mediums, but the thread running through it all is a sense of presence and a connection to the landscapes and traditions that have shaped me.

I grew up in the hills and valleys of rural Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, England, and later on the windswept coast of Fife, Scotland. Those places—marked by big skies, rolling land, and a certain stillness—still echo through my work. In clay, I’m drawn to the purity of form, subtle glaze boundaries, and the dialogue between restraint and expression. In oil painting, I explore the poetry of light and color, often taking everyday objects and moments as my subjects.

For the past 20 years, I’ve called Willoughby, Ohio home, where I live with my husband, our dog, and three cats. My studio is where I blend the old and the new: ancient craft traditions alongside contemporary influences, English porcelain heritage alongside Korean and Japanese ceramic philosophies, realism in paint alongside a modern, intuitive palette.

Whether I’m at the wheel, brush in hand, or experimenting with another medium, I’m chasing the same thing—a quiet presence you can feel as much as see. My work is made for people who value things with weight, story, and soul.
